The rules for using flowspex.com, the Intel brief, FlowSpex Watch and the waitlists.
Short version: the site, the Intel brief and FlowSpex Watch are free information services. They help you look in the right place. They do not replace your own classification, screening or licence decisions, or legal advice.
These terms apply to flowspex.com and to the free services offered on it: the Intel weekly brief, FlowSpex Watch, and the waitlists. By using them you accept these terms. Paid services, when there are any, will have their own contract.
Intel is a weekly brief on export controls, sanctions and customs rules. FlowSpex Watch is an email alert that matches changes in official sources to the profile you give us. The waitlist lets you register interest in the FlowSpex software. Joining it does not give you access and does not create a contract.
All three are free. We may change, pause or end any of them at any time. Watch is opening in stages; joining the Watch waitlist does not guarantee a place.
Everything we publish or send is general information drawn from official sources. It is not legal, customs or compliance advice and does not consider your specific case. The official text published by the authority is the only binding version. Before you classify goods, screen a party, apply for a licence or ship, check the official source and take advice where you need it. The decisions, and the responsibility for them, stay with you.
We work carefully and test Watch against the official sources. Still, sources change without notice, files can be late or wrong, and matching rules can miss things. A name that looks similar to a listed entry is not a match until a person has checked it. We do not promise that any brief or alert is complete, correct, on time or free of errors.
You are responsible for the profile, product details and partner names you send. Send only data you are allowed to share with us. Do not send classified information, export-controlled technology or data you have to keep confidential.
Do not misuse the site: no attacks, no automated scraping that loads our servers, no resale of the brief or alerts as your own service. Sharing a brief inside your company is fine. Quoting it publicly is fine with a source and a link.
To the extent the law allows, FlowSpex is not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of the site, the brief, Watch or the waitlist, or from relying on them. This includes delays, missed changes, wrong matches, lost shipments, fines and lost profit. Liability for intent and gross negligence, and any liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law, remains.
We link to official sources and other sites. We have no control over them and are not responsible for their content.
We may update these terms. The version on this page applies.
Swiss law applies. The courts of Zurich, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to sue at your place of residence.
